Our Mission

At GARAS (Gloucestershire Action for Refugees and Asylum Seekers) we offer support to those seeking asylum in Gloucestershire, welcoming them when they arrive, advocating for them in their daily struggles, supporting them if they face being sent back as well as helping them adjust to their long term future if they are recognised as refugees.

We are grateful each year for Harvest donations that come in from churches and schools across the county. These really do make a difference for people in need: whether it be refugees waiting for documents to come through, failed asylum seekers with no support, or individuals and young families we are working with who have fallen through the net.

Please download and print out our Harvest shopping list, for items that we can use.  Donations can be dropped off at the GARAS building Monday to Friday, between 9:30am and 5pm – please phone us on 01452 550528 before you come to ensure that someone is there to receive the donation.  Thank you so much.
