At GARAS (Gloucestershire Action for Refugees and Asylum Seekers) we offer support to those seeking asylum in Gloucestershire, welcoming them when they arrive, advocating for them in their daily struggles, supporting them if they face being sent back as well as helping them adjust to their long term future if they are recognised as refugees.

Resettlement Support Officer

Full Time: 37.5 hours per week (with some ‘on call’ requirements)
Salary: £24,982 NJC Scale 6 level 18
Location: Gloucestershire
Closing date: 9am Monday 7 February 2022
Interview date: week commencing Monday 14 February 2022

This initial one year post aims to work with individuals and families arriving in Gloucestershire under the UKRS Scheme, helping them to start their new lives in the UK. This will involve supporting clients through the stages of integration, including preparation and planning prior to their arrival; housing; financial support; access into education; health and employment. The post holder will be working within a team.
